Donald Trump isn’t going to like what the Manhattan DA just said about his ongoing criminal case

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg announced to CNN on Thursday that his criminal case against Donald Trump is ongoing, and that new evidence is involved. This comes immediately after New York Tish James ramped up her related civil probe today by moving to hold Donald Trump in contempt of court.

This furthers my initial belief that Bragg wanted more than what Pomerantz brought him, or wanted his own people running it, or wanted to wait for James to drop the civil hammer first, or wants James to be the one to bring the criminal charges, or something along those lines. This never presented as “Bragg has decided to let Trump off the hook.”

We’ll continue to hear tinfoil hat punditry about how Trump is bribing Bragg, or Bragg is only pretending to investigate Trump, or Bragg and Garland and Trump are all conspiring to launch a space laser against us. Anything to ramp up the doomsday hysteria for attention.

While bribes and such do happen, it’s only realistic with criminal probes that are playing out in obscurity to begin with. The notion that Bragg would have run for DA on a platform of prosecuting Trump, only to immediately ditch the idea, is absurd. He knows he’d never get reelected.
