Donald Trump is running a carnival of thieves
Trump’s insistence that hydroxychloroquine is the magic cure-all for what ails us is deeply suspicious. Not only is it an unproven treatment for COVID 19 with scant evidence, the very fact he’s pushing it like a snake oil salesman makes us wonder what he’s got invested in it.
As a reminder, Hitler’s Mein Kampf was a runaway bestseller for him, but that was because it was a required wedding gift and a necessary in every good German household. The fact that very few Germans ever read the awful thing was beside the point. It paid the bills for his renovations at the Berghof in Berchtesgaden. What bills does Trump owe to Putin and Deutsche Bank? If anyone thinks Trump’s not looking for a con in all this tragedy, I have a golf course in Florida full of bedbugs to sell you.
Trump is slaughtering Americans with his incompetence, lack of empathy and grifting. Nancy Pelosi et al needs to make note of every move these criminals make and prepare the hearings accordingly. Until Trump is voted out of office, there’s nothing to be done but take notes. Nonetheless, it’s a sure thing that Pelosi, Schumer and the rest of the Dems are taking those notes and will be ready in January.
In the meantime, we have Governors fighting for our lives, nurses and doctors going to the front, and the blessed kindness of strangers. We will get through this and never again be blinded by a two-bit con artist and his carnival of thieves.
