Donald Trump is powerless – and his enemies know it

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

About two weeks ago, it was revealed that Donald Trump’s former staffers were actively working against him to prevent him from mounting another presidential bid in 2024 by bringing down any political validity he has left – another obstacle that the former guy will have to deal with in addition to his mounting legal troubles in New York and Georgia, not to mention what becomes of the January 6 probe and the DOJ’s findings.

Now the number of former staffers working against Trump in not just 2024 but also against MAGA Republicans in the 2022 midterm cycle has gone up to over three dozen people who are all on the same page about the former guy being a dangerous and existential threat to our democracy. Some of you may be skeptical about accepting help of some of the more notorious figures from the Trump years, and for good reason.

You might wonder, for example, why these people took so long to turn against – or to take any kind of consequential action against their old boss. A big factor is largely because Trump is now the former guy – he doesn’t have nearly the same clout and influence that he had when he was president regardless of how the media likes to portray him – and this is why it was always paramount that Trump needed to be removed from office. Now that he’s powerless, it’s the easiest moment for them to turn against him. Now is the time to run up the score and campaign for Democrats in 2022 to make sure the GOP cannot get its power back again.
