Donald Trump is panicking behind the scenes

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump is now reportedly telling his advisers in exact words that he needs to be President again so he can stay out of prison. This tells us two equally important things:

1) Trump is at that stage of his downfall where the only remaining hope is the delusional type, and people start inventing imaginary ways they’ll be magically rescued. Trump is now fantasizing about taking office in January of 2025 and then, what, using a time machine to go back and stop himself from being indicted in 2022 or 2023?

2) Trump knows he’s heading to prison. It’s not a stretch to conclude that Trump sees it this way. He’s talking up a delusional rescue plan to save himself that doesn’t even match up with the calendar, and he’s explicitly saying that it’s aimed at keeping him out of prison. When you add in the reality that his plan would not keep him out of prison, it means that he believes he’s on a path to prison.

This doesn’t mean Trump is correct, of course. But it does mean that even as Twitter pundits keep insisting the DOJ is doing nothing and that the Fulton County DA is too late and that Trump has gotten away with it all, even Trump himself can see the writing on the wall. He expects to go to prison.
