Donald Trump is on indictment watch now
One thing we do not know about the investigation into Donald Trump is what happens next. Right now, we are on “indictment watch.” It could perhaps happen tomorrow. Or next month. Or it could be after the midterm elections.
The one thing more and more people are agreeing on is that it WILL happen. And some are even speculating on the amount of time Trump could get if convicted. ABC, legal analyst Dan Abrams speculated that Trump might be facing “twenty years in prison.”
That’s A LOT of time. Abrams explained that charges – if they come — could be “very serious.”
“And the one thing that’s being talked about,” Abrams said, “is this espionage act.”
“But the truth is that when it comes to potential criminal sentences, the obstruction of justice statute is the one with the most potential prison time.”
“There you’re talking about up to 20 years behind bars,” he went on seriously.
“So these are not sort of minor crimes we’re talking about here.”
No, they are not. ALL of the crimes being talked about are extremely serious. Other legal analysts are speculating much of the same. Lisa Rubin is a legal analyst for MSNBC. And she says Trump could get ten years if he is found guilty of violating the espionage act. “We’re talking about real serious crimes here,” Lisa said.
Legal analyst Tali Farhadian Weinstein, also from MSNBC, speculated that Donald Trump severely “misjudged” Merrick Garland. So it appears right now that just about everybody except Fox non-news is convinced that Donald J. Trump is heading to a cell block. We will have to see. But whenever or wherever the perp walk happens, one thing’s for sure.
When this walk comes, Donald Trump will — at last — get his wish for the biggest audience EVER. Because this is the one time we’ll ALL be tuning in to watch Donald Trump — and his long and humiliating walk of shame.
