Donald Trump is on a totally manic bender right now
Donald Trump keeps finding out the hard way that he can’t delay his trials and he can’t win his trials. After he lost his first E. Jean Carroll trial and then his New York civil fraud trial went horrendously, he’s back in court for his second E. Jean Carroll trial. So far it looks like Trump is going to get hit with even bigger damages than he did in the first trial.
Of course Trump loves taking a mistake and turning it into an even bigger mistake. So he’s now making one nasty post about Carroll after another on social media. In fact at one point this evening there was a half an hour stretch where he was making an average of about one post about Carroll per minute. This is becoming manic in nature.
Keep in mind that while the courts haven’t barred Trump from making these kinds of posts, he’s not “getting away” with it. Carroll’s attorneys have already made clear that they intend to use Trump’s ongoing posts as a basis for seeking even larger damages during this trial. So Trump can keep running his mouth, but he’s running up a tab in real time. Trump’s continued attacks on Carroll are ultimately a win for Carroll.
