Donald Trump is having a bad day on Truth Social
Donald Trump keeps whining about how his criminal trial is keeping him from hitting the campaign trail. But he had the weekend off, and instead of hitting the road, he spent it sitting at home and whining on Truth Social. It gives away that he’s uninterested and/or incapable of functioning as a candidate. Worse, his social media posts are going poorly for him today.
For instance, at around lunchtime, Trump posted a lengthy tirade about how President Biden supposedly can’t function anymore. It’s clear that Trump is frustrated at his own worsening health problems and cognitive problems, and as he sits there stuck at home like a blob, he’s projecting his own helplessness onto Biden.
Worse for Trump, he also promised that if he doesn’t win the election, it’ll result in World War III. As a general rule, any politician who’s talking about World War III is chasing away voters in the middle.
But the real trouble for Trump is that he made a post this morning which once again tried and failed to revise his position on abortion. After he recently said that states should be allowed to monitor women’s pregnancies, he’s now insisting today that he didn’t say that. Trump keeps staking himself to one unpopular position on abortion after another, and it’s all going to come back to haunt him.
Of course the larger story here is that Donald Trump is sitting at home and ranting in frustration because of how helpless and useless he’s become. He’s a broken blob, he knows it, and he doesn’t even have the sense to keep quiet.
