Donald Trump is flaming out in real time
Hitting bottom isn’t a fun experience. And for sociopaths, I imagine it’s more unpleasant than for most people. That’s because these types of personalities do not like feeling powerless. And when they DO feel that way, they lash out even harder and more furiously than usual.
And bottom has come for Donald Trump. Cornered like a rabid animal, with no place to hide, his fury is hitting new levels as dysfunction and chaos guide his every move. Trump lashed out at the FBI once again on his Truth Social account. Saying “atrocities” were being committed by the FBI, Trump said law enforcement was “destroying our country” and hinted his Fourth Amendment rights were violated.
This is the sound of the wind being sucked out of a malignant narcissist. This is the sound of Donald Trump as he is – the real Donald, not the one his fanatic fans have imagined him being. When darkness comes for a malignant narcissist, they perhaps resist more than the average person. They also display righteous indignation because they can’t believe anybody would ever DARE to target them.
And because they see themselves as “special” — as being something more than mere mortals — their rage and fury usually cannot be quenched. This is what’s happening here. Trump is poking the hornet’s nest, seemingly determined to provoke a response from his enemies.
The problem with that method is that Trump’s enemies are everywhere. Hey — just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re NOT out to get you. In the case of Trump, EVERYBODY is out to get him. And they’re out to get him because of his own abhorrent behavior.
Nobody could ever get through to Donald Trump by telling him that. He exists on a different planet than you and I. His planet shows no sign of life except for one person, and that is himself. He isn’t capable of even acknowledging that he could be wrong about one thing.
