Donald Trump is falling apart in real time

Mount Olympus was said to be the home of the ancient Greek Gods and Goddesses. As you know, I am a student of this magnificent mythology. Imagine then my delight when I found an article from Politico asking if Trump fancies himself a God or a Deity? That is, of course, exactly how Trump wants history to remember him, although it will not.

Let’s break this down together. Trump, being the narcissist that he is, has often, this writer suspects, had fantasies of Godliness. Perhaps he’s even imagined himself being handed a blazing hot golden crown with golden wings to boot; maybe he’s dreamed of standing tall in the sky, the heat of majesty dripping from him as he looks down upon us little people, and smugly pays tribute to all his Deity powers..

Yes, that is what I BELIEVE Trump thought about. I say “thought about” because with his senility and brain drain, I am not so sure he thinks at ALL these days. However, I do believe that somewhere deep down, way deep down, he knows what he is—a meager, tiny little thing, the object of nobody’s affection, a lonely wannabe prince ravaged by his weakness and anger, pushing through the brambles, wanting so very desperately for people to adore him.

Only they do not, and more and more people are acknowledging that Trump is not a Deity, he’s not divine, he’s a swine. Here are some brand new numbers for the wanna-be God to take in. Yahoo News says less than a quarter of Americans — around 22% agree with Trump’s desire to prioritize White Afrikaners over other immigrants. This is from a new YahooNews/YouGov poll.

In Virginia, a new Roanoke College poll found high disapproval of both Trump AND Governor Youngkin. With the Virginia governor’s race approaching, that is bad news. The Independent says at least half of Americans feel TRUMP has not been honest about his health issues.

The Economist says after Trump’s “RUINIOUS TARIFF ANNOUNCEMENT,” his poll numbers have continued to fall. Forbes reports that Trump’s approval numbers are “staying stagnant,” and in a Morning Consult poll, his disapproval was at 51%.

In Swing State Michigan, the Detroit Regional Chamber poll found that Michiganders are pretty worried about the tariff situation and the cost of goods rising, as they have already started to do. And on and on the merry-go-round goes. Where does it stop? At approval ratings that are quite low. Does this sound to you, my dear readers like a king — a god– a deity? Of COURSE not.

So, to sum up: Over and over and OVER, in polls, on busy city streets, and in dark corners of sooty taverns, the American people hate Trump, mock Trump, and laugh at Trump. No Deity, he. He is, however, a buffoon, and if he wants the title of God, this writer is willing to give it to him — Donald Trump is the God of Tacos. Only this taco is about to turn into a taco SALAD , fillings falling from it, as it falls apart in real time.
