Donald Trump is collapsing into pieces
Super Tuesday has had us occupied with the hope that we can get rid of the worst, dumbest president in the history of American politics, Donald Trump. What has he been up to? Saying something so incredibly dumb that it’s almost impossible to believe. He started out his call-in to Sean Hannity’s show referring to the “corona flu.” This was clue number one of where this was going. He went on to attempt to completely downplay the impact of the virus.
According to Trump, “a lot of people will have this, and it’s very mild. They’ll get better very rapidly. They don’t see a doctor. They don’t even call a doctor. You never hear about those people.” Of course we don’t; they don’t exist. Maybe if Superman became infected with “corona flu” we might see this. Since Superman is an imaginary person, we won’t be seeing this anytime soon.
Trump then repeated the phrase “corona flu” and said that “we have thousands or hundreds of thousands of people getting better just by, you know, sitting around and even going to work.” Really, Trump? Twitter lit up in sheer disbelief of Trump’s careless, thoughtless, and dangerous comments. Peter Gleick pointed out that Trump has had briefings from both doctors and scientists “and he still spouts total, dangerous bullshit.”
Dr. Kathie Allen chimed in with “Am a doctor. Don’t go to work with Coronavirus. Don’t listen to stupid.” It is difficult to believe the “president” of the United States is this stupid, but the evidence doesn’t lie. Further, HuffPost reports that “Trump has been peddling falsehoods and downplaying the virus threat amid his administration’s haphazard response.” Maybe that’s the problem. Trump and his administration are so inept that they think it’s better to lie to the American people than to take the word of doctors and scientists who know of what they speak. Perhaps Trump truly is trying to throw Pence under the bus in favor of Nikki Haley as recently reported by both CNN and HuffPost, but these stupid words came from his own dumb mouth.
After all his lies and downplaying of the virus, Trump is now flying to Atlanta to visit the CDC? Why? He certainly won’t understand or listen to one damned thing they say. He’s wasting taxpayer dollars to come and get in the way for a photo op. Typical Trump. Keep your dumb ass in DC and do your job, which does not include misleading the American public and putting all of us at risk for Coronavirus.
Some Twitter posters hit the proverbial nail on the head: “a little knowledge is dangerous. Total ignorance is now presidential.” Another user posted: “Please God make it stop” while another said, “What do you expect from a man who looked at the eclipse without any protective glass? A change must come in November.” Yes, it must. Eight months and counting until the demise of this idiot. There is so much that Trump deserves after his reign of terror has ended. The imagination isn’t equipped to come up with all of them, but rest assured, the dictator-wannabe’s comeuppance is not far away.
