Donald Trump is already angrily whining about how it’s going wrong for him

The Republican Senate tried to give Donald Trump what he wanted by offering to let his cabinet picks quietly slide through as recess appointments. But then Trump went and made the idiotic move of nominating people like Matt Gaetz, who can’t quietly get through anything. Even as Trump goes back and forth with the Republican Senate over his unhinged cabinet picks, he’s also lashing out publicly at the Republican Senate over another matter.

The Democrats still control the Senate through the end of the year, and they’re using this time to keep confirming as many qualified federal judges as possible. There’s nothing the Republicans can do about it, because the Democrats have the Senate majority for now. But that’s not stopping Trump from publicly throwing a fit about it, and cluelessly bashing Republican Senators in the process.

Because the Republicans can’t stop the judge confirmations anyway, some Republican Senators aren’t bothering to show up and vote. Trump is now lashing out at them on Twitter, demanding that they “Show Up and Hold the Line.” But there is no line to hold. Trump simply doesn’t understand how the Senate works, and apparently his remaining babysitters don’t either.

The awkward part is that two of the Republican Senators who have been failing to show up are Trump’s Vice President-elect JD Vance and Trump’s Secretary of State nominee Marco Rubio. While Trump isn’t naming names, he’s essentially attacking his own people by blaming them for these judge confirmations going through.

Vance appears to be frustrated by this whole thing. After one of Steve Bannon’s people publicly attacked Vance for not bothering to show up for the judge confirmation votes, Vance publicly called her an “imbecile.” So this is where we’re at now. These idiots are turning on each other in record time. Good.
