Donald Trump is finished
Now that Donald Trump’s presidency has been shattered, his darkest secrets have begun pouring out, his own people are turning against him, and there’s absolutely nothing he can do to magically save himself, the fatalists out there are naturally convincing themselves that Trump and his underlings finally have us right where they want us.
Attorney General Bill Barr is in Italy right now for reasons that can’t possibly relate to his job title. Apparently some of Trump’s other people are in Italy right now as well. One glance across social media right now, and you’ll see that the fatalists of the Resistance have decided that this means Trump’s people are over there plotting world domination. Sure.
Nevermind that Barr’s life has just been shattered by the exposure of his criminal role in the Ukraine scandal, to the point that Barr is whining to the media about how Trump screwed him. Nevermind that Mike Pompeo’s underling Kurt Volker has decided to give cooperative testimony to the House impeachment inquiry this week. Barr and Pompeo are sitting over there trying to decide whether to bet their lives on cutting a plea deal, or bet their lives on a Trump pardon. If they guess wrong, they’ll go to prison forever.
Donald Trump is finished. His underlings are finished. They’re broken, battered, crippled, powerless, flailing around erratically, and slowly coming to the realization that their lives are over as they know it. It’s over. It’s just a matter of which of Trump’s top people decide to take immunity deals first, and finish everyone else off. Just don’t tell this to the doomsday fatalists of the Resistance, who have decided that because Trump has lost, it mean’s he’s going to magically win. These fatalists do more harm to their own cause than they’ll ever know.
