Donald Trump has unhinged meltdown about how he supposedly can’t leave the country

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Donald Trump has been arrested four times and is fout on bail while awaiting trial, but he hasn’t (yet) been placed under travel restrictions. Typically you have to start screwing up and breaking the rules before the judge starts taking away your pretrial privileges, and while Trump may get there eventually, he hasn’t blown it yet.

That’s why it’s so odd that Trump is now angrily ranting and raving about how he can’t leave the country to attend a golf tournament in Scotland: “I have the Staysure Senior PGA Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland, on my great course, and I can’t go. I have to stay around and fight off the Crazed Radical Left Lunatics, Communists, Marxists, and Fascists. I wouldn’t want to be in Europe and watch this COUNTRY DESTROYING Scum work their disgusting and illegal “magic” on unsuspecting Republican “leaders” who just don’t think it is appropriate to Fight Fire With Fire.”

So this is odd. To be clear, as far as anyone knows, under Trump’s bail conditions, he would indeed be allowed to leave the United States to attend this tournament – which would technically be considered part of his job as a golf executive. And given how he pretty much just lazily sits around and plays occasional golf when he’s in the U.S. anyway, there’s no possible way that a few days in Scotland would somehow harm his ability to mount a trial defense. This guy isn’t doing anything to mount a trial defense anyway.

Yet Trump’s babysitters have clearly found a way to convince him that he can’t travel to this golf tournament for a few days because it would somehow harm his imaginary trial prep. It goes to demonstrate just how pliable Trump’s failing mind is these days; anyone around him seems to be able to convince him of anything. But the question is why his babysitters would want to convince him not to go on the Scotland trip. What do they know that he doesn’t know, and that we don’t know?

This is a development worth watching, because as Donald Trump’s life collapses in front of him, it’s clear the only thing he’s still taking comfort in is getting to do things like golf tournaments. Yet his own people are making a point of taking his pet golf tournament away from him. There has to be a reason they’re goading him into not traveling overseas. Should we be glib and say that maybe Trump’s own handlers are afraid he won’t want to come home? Or is there something else to it?
