Donald Trump has unhinged meltdown about a “Weapon of Mass Destruction”
Donald Trump has long used the strategy of isolating his opponents or detractors or targets one at a time, and then hammering away accordingly. It’s an effective strategy when you’re only dealing with enough opponents to count on, say, one hand. But with Trump now being dismantled from all sides, he can’t very well isolate his limitless number of adversaries, can he?
To that end, the United Auto Workers union just endorsed President Joe Biden for reelection in 2024. This is a good win for Biden but it’s not exactly shocking news, as manufacturing unions usually tend to endorse Democrats.
But rather than simply ignore the loss and hope it doesn’t get any headlines, Donald Trump is now treating UAW like an enemy. Specifically he’s accusing the head of the union, Shawn Fain, of being a “Weapon of Mass Destruction on Auto Workers and the Automobile Manufacturing Industry.”
Well okay. Whatever. What Trump doesn’t get is that when everyone is against you, and you respond by attacking everyone, you just come off looking like a loser who wants revenge. Trump clearly doesn’t have the sense to understand that in a political campaign there are good and bad days. But because he’s fighting for his life in the legal arena, he seems to be treating the political arena with the same panicked desperation. It won’t play well for him.
