Donald Trump has turned into the gift that keeps on giving
We have a gift that keeps on giving to the Democratic Party. That gift is Donald Trump. I kid you not. Whenever Trump opens his mouth, one can be assured he’ll say something utterly crazy, giving Democrats the upper hand. Case in point:
Trump has declared on Truth Social that he wants to end Obama Care. Now — Trump will never again be President, so he won’t get that chance. But much thanks, Donald Trump. Many thanks for reminding the American people that Democrats are the party of affordable Healthcare.
Republicans are the party that wants to take that away. Every time Healthcare has come up in the past, it’s been advantageous for Democrats. This is because Obamacare was implemented by Democrats for the people. And Republicans have not stopped ruminating about it ever since.
Yes, republicans have always been bitter about the exchange program. They have been salivating for many years, trying to kick as many people off of Obamacare as possible and end the program entirely.
But the people LIKE Obamacare. This is not coming from any one junk poll either. Time after time, exit poll after exit poll, voter after voter, has shone that the American people do not want Republicans kicking them off their healthcare plan. Why on EARTH would they?
And Trump just reminded the American people of yet another right the GOP would love to take away. Fussily complaining that Obamacare is too expensive, Trump says he is “looking” at alternatives. Right.
Were the affordable care Act to be peeled away, 30 million people would lose their health insurance. Of course, Republicans would say they have ANOTHER plan. They’ve reportedly been working on that plan for over the past decade. I doubt they will ever FIND this plan because it doesn’t exist.
Trump perhaps brought this up because of his deep and biting envy toward former President Obama. For Trump, Obama is the golden sun to his(Trump’s) dark, poison-filled cloud. Trump has always been jealous of Obama.
Healthcare is a RIGHT, not a privilege. And the American people get it. Any time any Republican speaks about ending this program, all that it really does is remind the American people how damn cruel the republican party is.
