Donald Trump has “dumb and helpless” meltdown as his trade war backfires

We've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.

Just how poorly is Donald Trump’s trade war going for him? The only reason the stock market didn’t plummet again today is that it’s closed for the weekend. The US stock market has lost nearly ten percent of its total worth in two days, thanks solely to Trump’s escalating tariff idiocy.

Whatever Trump thinks he’s trying to accomplish, it’s clearly not working. After he hit China with massive tariffs, China responded with equally massive tariffs. This was always going to be the outcome, but Trump is so senile he seemed to think China would cave to him just because.

Now Trump is throwing a fit, baselessly insisting that “China has been hit much harder than the USA, not even close.” Trump then went on to insist that the United States has been “dumb and helpless” when it comes to trade. The irony is that while the US has historically been in a fairly strong position on trade, Trump has indeed made the US dumb and helpless – because he’s dumb and helpless.

Trump ended his meltdown “it won’t be easy, but the end result will be historic.” Well, he’s right about this not being easy. It’s sickening. He’s also right about it being historic, given than no one else has ever done something this dumb on such a massive scale.

It's been a tough week, a tough month, a tough year. For all of us. But the fight goes on. Because we know how important this is. Because we care. Because we're the ones who fight. It's you and me. It has been for a decade. And I'm never backing down. But Palmer Report does have operating expenses. And in this uncertain time, I truly need your help. For that reason I've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.
