Donald Trump has disastrous day in court

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump’s immunity hearing on Tuesday went about as well as one would expect — in other words, it didn’t go well at ALL for the traitor. Donald Trump’s lawyers argued (or begged, as the case may be) that Trump deserves to be above the law. Skeptical Judges did not appear to buy into the traitor’s arguments.

One argument in particular was bizarre. The question of whether a President could order the military to murder a competitor came up, as did selling weapons to criminals. Trump’s lawyer had a rather odd defense to all of this.

Their defense is that if these things DID occur, the President could only be held accountable were he to be impeached first — and convicted. Wow — fake news is being argued in court. Is anyone surprised?

Trump’s lawyers really are going all in on changing what the word “impeachment” actually means. It does NOT and never has meant that it replaces a criminal trial. Appeals court Judge Florence Pan asked whether a President could “order SEAL teams six to assassinate a political rival?”

Trump’s lawyer responded that he’d have to be impeached and convicted for the President to be held accountable. You know what? I am OFFENDED by this defense. Our founding fathers were specifically against any type of dictatorship. And yet that appears to be Trump’s legal strategy — that the courts should proclaim him a dictator– a mad, cuckoo dictator but a dictator nonetheless.

It really is shitting on our Constitution. It’s an embarrassment. The judges appeared very skeptical. So would be any sane and rational person. This is because that is NOT how our country works,

The prosecutors — Jack Smith’s prosecutors said that it would be: awfully scary” if there were no consequences for a future president to break the law.

I do not often make predictions, but I will make one here. Trump will not get his precious immunity. It is a ridiculous case, one that his attorneys should have never brought, and Trump’s arguments are downright embarrassing as well as moronic.
