Donald Trump has berserk meltdown after he gets criminally indicted again
Donald Trump got criminally indicted again today, this time with a four-count superseding indictment that bypasses the recent Supreme Court ruling and puts Trump’s criminal trial firmly back on track with Judge Tanya Chutkan in Washington DC. Suffice it to say that Trump isn’t taking the news well.
Trump has now posted four separate lengthy meltdowns on Truth Social, including rants about how this somehow equates to “World War III” and a “dead witch hunt.” Why Trump thinks we’re hunting for dead witches is another story. Perhaps it relates to Hannibal Lecter.
In any case, Trump’s reaction underscores my initial take earlier this afternoon, which is that this criminal indictment comes at a terrible time for him. Trump was already increasingly having trouble being seen as viable in this election, and now he’s about to have another week of headlines about how he’s an indicted criminal (and convicted felon).
