Donald Trump has berserk meltdown about his former New York City home

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump is now Florida Man, thanks to his recent decision to change his state residency from New York to Florida. That means New York City is now officially his former home, even though he hasn’t lived there in a few years. Trump has been attacking the city for awhile, but now he’s going completely off the deep end about a fake story.

Donald Trump posted this tweet: “So sad to see what is happening in New York where Governor Cuomo & Mayor DeBlasio are letting out 900 Criminals, some hardened & bad, onto the sidewalks of our rapidly declining, because of them, city. The Radical Left Dems are killing our cities. NYPD Commissioner is resigning!” Remarkably, every word of this tweet is a lie.

Nine hundred people are being released, but they’re not convicted criminals. They’re people who have been arrested but haven’t yet reached trial. Under a new law, they now qualify for release on bail. The new law doesn’t allow people to be released who are considered dangerous. And if a judge thinks a particular arrestee is going to violate his bail, the judge can override the new law and keep that person in jail. Also, there is no indication that the NYPD Commissioner’s resignation has anything to do with this new law.

Notably, Donald Trump knows plenty about suspects being let out on bail and then violating the terms of that bail. Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort was released on bail, but then conspired with a Russian spy to try to tamper with witnesses, prompting Manafort’s bail to be revoked. He was later convicted. Trump’s longtime friend Roger Stone is going on trial today, after having been hauled before the judge multiple times in recent months because his actions were arguably in violation of his bail.
