To look at what Donald Trump periodically does at a podium, and call it a speech, would be like looking at someone who’s making farting noises with his elbow and calling it a karate move. What Trump is doing is attempting to give speeches, and failing to do so.

That was more evident than ever today, when Trump tried to give a speech at a Florida Republican event, and instead ended up delivering a senile hallucinatory rant about whales:
