Donald Trump goes off the deep end, gives away the game

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

On Friday Donald Trump got criminally indicted on new federal charges – just not the charges one might have been expecting. Jack Smith and the DOJ hit Trump with a superseding indictment in his Espionage Act scandal, nailing him for willful retention of classified information and for conspiring to destroy surveillance tapes. That was the bad news for Trump. The even worse news is that he’s about to get indicted again, this time for January 6th.

Just how soon is that indictment coming? The only people who know for certain are Jack Smith and, presumably, his boss Merrick Garland. But Trump sure seems to think that indictment might come later today. How do we know this? Because Trump just gave away the game on social media.

Trump is now calling for the impeachment and indictment of both Joe Biden and Merrick Garland. It’s not clear what Trump even thinks either of them could possibly be criminally indicted for. But that doesn’t matter, because this is all just Trump’s fantasy anyway. By calling for the President and the Attorney General to be indicted today, Trump is giving away that he expects to be indicted today. We’ll see if he’s proven correct.
