Donald Trump goes completely off the deep end on his way into his criminal trial

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump is sitting in a New York courthouse, against his will, as jury selection gets underway in his first criminal trial. On his way into the courthouse Trump stopped and delivered a brief accordion-hand statement to reporters. But before that, he went completely off the delusional deep end on social media.

At one point this morning Trump declared that “200 million” Americans now support him (he only got the votes of 74 million of them the last time he lost). Then he implied that he’s going to win a Nobel prize. He also went on a bender about voting machines. Trump then posted some months-old primary poll numbers, for some reason, from states that already voted.

In other words Trump is reaching for whatever delusional, imaginary “good news” he can get his hands on. Either that, or his handlers are posting all of these things in a last ditch effort at cheering Trump up on his way into the courtroom. In any case, Trump is clearly desperate.
