Donald Trump goes completely berserk ahead of Trump Organization indictments

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Last night we all learned that New York prosecutors have given the Trump Organization a deadline of today to make their case for why it shouldn’t be criminally indicted. Since there’s no such case to be made, that deadline will pass later today – and the initial indictments are expected sometime this week.

Suffice it to say that Donald Trump isn’t happy about this. He’s released a lengthy and unhinged statement to the media. We won’t repost it, for obvious reasons. But it’s notable that he’s lashing out at Bill Barr and Mitch McConnell in particular.

This comes after Barr tried to publicly distance himself from Trump over the weekend, in a story that McConnell also vouched for. Donald Trump is deranged and fading, but it’s not that kind of stupid, so he can see what’s going on here: his own closest allies are suddenly trying to run away from him now that he’s about to go down.

It’s fitting that as the legal dismantling of Donald Trump gets underway this week, his own henchmen are trying to kick him on his way down, and in return he’s trying to take them down with him.

Once Trump lost the election, Palmer Report pointed to the New York criminal probe as the obvious reason why Trump was going down – and we also pointed out that as 2021 went on, an unceasingly hobbled and irrelevant Trump would have a smaller and smaller circle of people to lash out at. Sure enough, attacking his allies is all he has left.
