Donald Trump gives up

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump has reportedly pulled his own expert witness and will put on no defense at all in the E. Jean Carroll trial. In other words he’s basically forfeiting. Why? When you’re weeks or days from being indicted for espionage, perhaps you stop caring about your civil trials anyway.

There’s still a very small chance Trump could win this civil trial, but it would take a fully batshit jury to side with someone who put on no case. Either he’s given up and decided to take the loss, or he’s so far gone that he mistakenly thinks he’s magically got the win in hand.

Trump wouldn’t be the first person to give up on his civil trials while focusing on his criminal trials. But he doesn’t seem to be focusing on winning his criminal trials either. Instead he’s taking one final trip to his overseas golf courses, which he’ll surely never see again once he’s indicted for espionage.

Trump comes off as someone who knows it’s all over for him, has given up even trying to save himself, and is instead content to lose himself in the fantasy that his problems will all magically go away and he’ll magically end up on top, while he loses everything. So be it.
