Donald Trump gives away how badly his own side just blew it

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump’s future political viability ended the minute his goons invaded the Capitol, and with each passing day his odds of remaining out of prison continue to drop, even as the New York Attorney General moves closer to dropping the financial hammer on him. Yet Trump still fantasizes about being a player in 2024, because when someone’s life has been as dead-ended as his has been, delusional fantasies are all that the person has left.

Even with all that said, it turns out that even Trump understands just how badly his own side of the political fence just blew it. Trump ran on an anti-abortion platform but never could figure out how to so much as even state the position coherently, because he obviously couldn’t care less about the issue. Yet he dutifully put three anti-abortion psychopaths on the Supreme Court, and now Roe v. Wade has been struck down as a direct result.

Yet even as right wing idiots celebrate this move as if it’s somehow going to work out well for them, Donald Trump is privately telling his own advisers that this ruling is going to screw the Republican Party going forward.

That’s right, even Donald Trump – who’s delusional enough to think that he’s somehow going to be a part of the 2024 election – can see that the right wing did a phenomenally self defeating thing by striking down Roe v. Wade. If the rest of the right wing doesn’t understand this, it means they’re even more delusionally removed from reality than Donald Trump is, which is saying something.
