Donald Trump gets desperate
Donald Trump is coming off a terrible week for him. His approval rating is down, as more Americans turn against him. The stock market is down, as Wall Street figures out he has no idea what he’s doing. And he’s increasingly seen as a feeble joke while Elon Musk continues to usurp the presidency.
So what’s Trump doing? He’s getting desperate. After weeks of one story after another about Trump’s ICE antics resulting in few deportations, Trump declared on social media today that “OUR SOUTHERN BORDER IS CLOSED!!!”
Really? That’s what Trump wants to go with now? He’s spent a month making a total mess of immigration, the American people are turning against him, and so now he’s declaring that he’s magically fixed it. Not everyone is stupid enough to fall for it. Trump’s approval rating will continue to fall further in the coming days and weeks.
