Donald Trump “fuming” over how poorly his trial went for him today
Donald Trump is having such a rough go of it in the cognitive department, he keeps dozing off during his trial and today he mistakenly tried to get up and leave before it was over. But it appears that even a dementia riddled Trump can see that things went very poorly for him today in court.
Reporter Jose Pagliery says that after court ended (for real) on Friday, Trump sat in his seat “fuming” before finally getting up and leaving with a “furious” look on his face. And really, Trump should be feeling furious right about now.
The trial jury, including all the alternates, was seated today. Trump’s petty attempts at jury intimidation may have prompted one potential juror to quit, but it didn’t keep a jury from being seated. Nor did it delay anything. And all of the motions that Trump’s lawyers tried to make on Friday afternoon also ended up going nowhere.
Trump’s only realistic hope of “winning” this trial was if it never got underway to begin with. But because he doesn’t have a magic delay wand, he’s utterly failed to stop this trial from happening. And now the trial’s opening arguments are set for Monday.
