Donald Trump flames out in post-conviction appearance on Fox News
Donald Trump remains desperate to portray himself as defiant in the wake of his criminal conviction. The trouble: he’s way too far gone cognitively to pull it off. He tried holding a press conference, but merely came off as senile. So now Trump has tried sitting down with friendly faces at Fox News, and suffice it to say that it didn’t go well.
At one point Trump claimed that he never said “lock her up” about Hillary Clinton, which just makes him senile. At another point Trump went on an incoherent bender about deporting a “beautiful mother,” which made him look senile and cruel. Then Trump said that climate change is a good thing because it’ll mean we’re going to have more “beachfront property.”
Every time Donald Trump appears in public, he portrays himself as more of an extremist, more of a psychopath, and more of a dementia patient. After the guilty verdict, I said the best thing that could happen was if he kept running his mouth. Sure enough, that’s what he’s doing, and it’s only going to hurt him with persuadable voters.
