Donald Trump ends with a whimper

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Signs. Portents. Warnings. They are as part of our history as anything could be. This universe echoes with the sounds of signs gone by. Many in ancient times, both in America and other countries, looked over horizons, for signs to cast a guiding light and tell them whether their efforts had been successful — or unsuccessful.

We’ve just had a sign. As we prepare to settle in and watch the election returns, this writer would like to tell you about the hilarious situation. Yes, I said hilarious because that’s what it was. This sign is good news for us, though not for the Trump campaign.

It happened in the swing state of Georgia. A Trump rally was taking place. Then out of the Georgia red hills, HE came galloping in. Yes, HE. He is of strange behavior and overflowing stupidity. He, the target in the past of much mocking laughter. He was someone we thought we’d seen the last of. His name is Herschel Walker.

Yes, the man who once imagined himself to be a sheriff AND a grazing cow, the weirdest of the weird, a man Tim Walz would be proud to put a bizarre sign on, had returned! And it was he who gave us the sign.

He was there to endorse his friend Trump, but sadly, endorsements can go wrong, which was the case here. Grinning with mall-rat moronicity, Herschel Walker strolled up to the mic — and endorsed the wrong candidate. “It stops on Tuesday! When we vote for my friend and YOUR friend, Donald Trump Junior!”

The gaffe machine had struck again! He’d endorsed the wrong candidate. Well, nobody can say they were surprised. This IS Herschel Walker. Signs come, and signs go, and we had a very humorous sign. Thanks, Herschel.
