Donald Trump doesn’t seem to be having a very good night tonight
Donald Trump won the Iowa caucus yesterday, and everyone says that’s the whole key to winning… oh wait, you mean everyone is finally coming around to acknowledging that Iowa and New Hampshire never tell us squat about who the presidential nominees are? But the lack of importance of Trump’s Iowa “win” is probably not the reason he’s in such a foul mood tonight.
That probably instead comes down to the fact that, more than ever, his life consists entirely of trials and legal troubles. His second E. Jean Carroll trial kicked off on Tuesday, and got off to a disastrous start for Trump right out of the gate. Trump has already lost his New York civil fraud trial and is waiting for the verdict to come crashing down on him. And any day now the U.S. Court of Appeals is going to laugh off his last ditch attempt at delaying his Washington DC criminal trial.
So yeah, Trump has a lot of reasons to be in a bad mood tonight. That may explain why he keeps making one weird, obsessive, and unhinged post about Nikki Haley after another. It’s one in the morning and he’s still posting about her. Just for the sake of variety, he also threw in one post about mafia assassin Sammy The Bull Gravano endorsing him, which continues to be the weirdest thing that Trump has ever bragged about.
In any case, Trump’s posts tonight suggest that he’s in quite an obsessively foul mood. You would be too, if your life were being ripped apart by cascading trials that are going to leave you penniless and in prison.
