Donald Trump didn’t see this coming

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

According to multiple reports, Donald John Trump was convinced he’d “gotten” Alvin Bragg and the charges against him had been dropped. And Trump being the human waste that we know he is was feeling festive. That just might be why he decided to throw a party to celebrate his victory over Alvin Bragg. A “no indictment party” was in the works.

Trump reportedly joked about “golden handcuffs,” was “cautiously optimistic,” and was in the mood to party! I must stop here to marvel at the man’s stupidity. It’s incredible that for four horrible years, we had such an idiot in the White House. Apologies to Americans for that.

And behind the scenes, a group of Trump cultists was delighted with the way things were going. After all, they had slayed the dragon. No more did Trump have to be worried about pending charges! Now he could party away!

Only that’s not QUITE how things turned out as well, all know. The moral of this story? Don’t count your chickens before they’re hatched. Because as we can all see too clearly, Trump had not one-upped Bragg. The opposite, in fact, happened.

Trump made the mistake he usually makes — falling into hubris. He counted his chickens, let out a sigh of relief — and walked right into the trap. Congratulations, Donald, on being wrong yet again.
