Donald Trump declares “GOD BLESS THE SUPREME COURT” in bizarre unhinged rant
Donald Trump doesn’t really seem to know what he’s saying anymore when he appears in public. His ranting is so incoherent that it’s almost impossible to follow, and it also gives away that Trump is now confusing various people for each other. Trump’s rants on social media tend to be less incoherent, so who knows how much help he has writing them? But Trump’s social media meltdown today is nonetheless plenty bizarre.
Trump used his all caps screed to try to make the case that presidents have total immunity from the law while in office. Trump went on to argue that “rogue cops” and “bad apples” are good things. He then declared “GOD BLESS THE SUPREME COURT!”
That last part is pretty weird, given that the Supreme Court has thus far declined to even hear the question of whether Trump is protected by presidential immunity in the criminal case against him. The case is instead being heard by the U.S. Court of Appeals.
Perhaps Trump is confused with a different legal battle, the matter of whether he’s eligible for the ballot in 2024, which is pending in front of the Supreme Court. In any case, Trump doesn’t seem to know what’s even going on – a position that he’s increasingly finding himself in.
