Donald Trump couldn’t control himself at all in court today

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Donald Trump’s courtroom behavior during his criminal trial has been bizarre from the start. He’s spent several days of his trial nodding off and sleeping, seemingly unable to remember why he was even there or why it was important. On Monday he got confused and fist bumped a witness who had just given damning testimony against him. Today his behavior got even more surreal.

According to the just released daily transcripts, Trump kept cursing under his breath today while Stormy Daniels was testifying. It got blatant enough that the judge used a sidebar to instruct Trump’s attorney to get his client under control.

So now we’re talking about a criminal defendant who is sleeping through some witness testimony, fist bumping other witnesses against him, and cursing under his breath at a witness without any awareness that everyone could hear him.

After Trump’s fist bump incident yesterday, I wrote that Trump isn’t merely in danger of being hauled out of this trial for violating his gag order, he’s also in danger of being hauled away due to his mentally incompetent behavior. What’s next? Will he mistake Karen McDougal for Melania? Will he try to give Michael Cohen a wedgie? These are absurd yet half-serious possibilities. Trump truly is that far gone.
