Donald Trump clearly expects the jury to convict him
On his way to the courthouse this morning, Donald Trump made a series of angry defeatist social media posts suggesting that he expects to be convicted. Then he stood in front of the media outside the courtroom, looking physically dejected, and declared that no one could avoid getting convicted on these charges.
This doesn’t mean that Trump is correct about what’s coming. But it’s clear that his babysitters have told him that he’s very likely going to be convicted. Now we wait for the jury. If you’re not enjoying having to wait for the verdict, imagine what Trump is feeling.
