Donald Trump can’t get anybody to take up his case
Lawyers are always looking for new cases. New cases are their bread and butter. So it stands to reason that they would carefully examine each case on its merits and then make a decision.
Only for one person with a very special type of case, they’re reportedly hearing a word they’re not all that accustomed to hearing. No. No way. Sorry but no. Moving along… Nope.
This person is Donald Trump. And according to reports, he is having a great deal of difficulty finding a quality attorney to represent him.
This is because, as the Washington Post puts it, Donald Trump “is an impossible client.” And there isn’t much attorneys dislike more than impossible clients. But there is another reason that so many attorneys are reportedly saying no thanks to the insurrectionist.
That reason is money. Many of these attorneys do not believe Donald Trump will ever pay them for their services. This is not surprising because Donald Trump has been ripping people off his whole life, so why would he stop now? “Everyone is saying no,” said a Republican lawyer.
Of course, Trump’s spokesperson has issued a denial, saying this story isn’t true. But what is the spokesperson SUPPOSED to say? “Yeah, they won’t touch him with a ten-foot pole.” I doubt any representative of Trump’s would admit THAT — even if it were true.
As time ticks by, it looks like perhaps Trump will have to settle for second best in his legal representation — or third, fourth, or fifth. Because the top lawyers — the Creme De La Creme — do not seem to want to have anything to do with Trump and all the miserable trouble he’s in. And who can blame them?
