Donald Trump cancels multiple events, including one with the NRA, after string of senile public appearances

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

After Donald Trump’s disastrous “swaying to the music” town hall, he somehow managed to have an even more disastrous town hall on Univision by trying to answer the questions. Last night I wrote that we could likely expect more of Trump’s upcoming public appearances to be canceled, and sure enough, the NRA now says Trump has canceled on one of their events.

That’s right, the NRA. That’s about as friendly of territory as you can get if you’re a Republican candidate. But as we keep seeing, Trump is so far gone, he can’t function in public even when he’s being propped up by a friendly interviewer or an on-stage babysitter.

This cancelation isn’t surprising. If anything the surprise was that his people allowed him to go through with the Univision town hall, which was just about guaranteed to go poorly for him. At this point, each time Trump goes on stage, he costs himself more votes. But he’s also losing this election, and he can’t afford to just disappear for these final nineteen days.

So what are Trump and his propper-uppers going to do? Trump has also reportedly just canceled a planned interview with NBC in Pennsylvania. That means he’s giving up on a key opportunity to reach persuadable voters in a key swing state. But what are his people going to do, send a senile candidate out there to talk about sharks and cannibals and insist on listening to music instead of answering questions? This final stretch is going to be interesting.
