Donald Trump cancels major weekend campaign appearance

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump has been canceling numerous public appearances and interviews for some time now, as it’s become more clear that he lacks the stamina to properly campaign and the cognitive ability to function when he does show up. Now Trump is blowing off what was supposed to have been a major campaign appearance this weekend.

Trump was planning to attend this Saturday’s college football game in Pennsylvania between Penn State and Ohio State. This kind of game is an easy opportunity for Trump to just sit there, expend no energy, and not have to risk saying anything senile, even as the TV cameras periodically show him on the nationally televised game broadcast. But now Trump is even canceling that.

No reason is being given for the cancelation, nor would anyone be inclined to believe any official reason that the Trump campaign might give anyway. But either Trump is too depleted to sit in a chair for three hours without dozing off, or his babysitters are worried that his worsening Puerto Rico scandal could result in him getting booed at the game.

In any case, it’s a very bad sign for a candidate when he’s behind in the polls going into the final weekend of the election, and he’s canceling high profile public appearances. At this point Trump is tanking. It’s our job to run up the score.
