Donald Trump attorney Christina Bobb hits the panic button
Donald Trump goes through attorneys like other people go through toilet paper. In his current criminal trial alone, his former attorney Michael Cohen is testifying against him. In Trump’s other criminal trials, some of his other former attorneys are set to testify against him. And of course a number of Trump’s former attorneys have ended up criminally indicted as a result of what Trump instructed them to do.
In that sense Christina Bobb is just the latest in a long line of Trump attorneys who are now facing a hard fall. She just got criminally indicted in Arizona for allegedly helping Trump try to overthrow the 2020 election results in that state.
Now Bobb is hitting the panic button, claiming that she could go to prison for the rest of her life. We doubt this is quite true, given that she’s only about forty years old. But given that she is looking at a lengthy prison sentence, she might consider her life to be over as she knows it.
The question now becomes whether Christina Bobb will cut a cooperation deal in order to try to save herself. Donald Trump hasn’t yet been indicted in Arizona, but prosecutors could simply be waiting to see how the Supreme Court immunity shakes out before deciding which specific charges to bring against Trump. In the meantime Bobb could also flip on people like Mark Meadows and Rudy Giuliani, who have also been indicted in Arizona. But either way, Bobb’s career is ruined, and her life will never be the same – which is how it tends to go for Trump attorneys.
