Donald Trump appears to threaten Mitch McConnell’s life in completely psychotic meltdown
On Friday the Washington Post reported that Donald Trump’s attorney Christina Bobb is willing to cooperate with the DOJ regarding the letter she previously signed which falsely stated that there were no classified documents in Trump’s home. If this is accurate and Bobb goes through with cooperating, it’ll ensure Trump is convicted on obstruction of justice at the least. Perhaps this is what set Trump off on Friday night, in arguably his most deranged – and violent – meltdown to date.
In a post to his own social media network that sounds like it can’t possibly be real, but is indeed real, Donald Trump laid into his former ally Mitch McConnell, before asking if McConnell is “willing to take the country down with him.” Then Trump added that McConnell “has a DEATH WISH.”
Wait, did Trump just threaten Mitch McConnell’s life? It seems to read that way. Given that McConnell is a United States Senator, this may even be a matter for the Secret Service. In any case, Trump is not being wise here; for all we know these kinds of threats could end up playing a role in his criminal trial. They show that after Trump’s words incited the January 6th Capitol attack, he’s continued to attempt to incite violence instead of learning from January 6th.
Trump then went on to hurl a racial slur at McConnell’s wife Eliane Chao that’s so nasty, we won’t repeat it here. But suffice it to say that this might be Trump’s most over the top deranged meltdown to date. Something has clearly set him off in a panic, whether it’s the reporting that his attorney may cooperate against him, or something else, and Trump clearly fears he’s getting indicted soon.
