Donald Trump appears to screw up and admit he’s paying for favorable polls
Donald Trump has become such a unique combination of sociopathically corrupt and embarrassingly senile, it can be difficult to figure out when he’s screwing up and confessing to something or when he’s just hallucinating.
Take, for instance, Trump’s recent interview with Joe Rogan. Trump has been getting headlines mainly for how lifeless and confused he sounded during the interview, and how Rogan ended up laughing at Trump’s claim of having won in 2020. But there’s also this bizarre moment where Trump appears to confess to having paid half a million dollars for a poll that had him up by two points:
Here, Trump admits he is paying for the bogus polls that show him ahead: #BogusPolls #TooExpensive

As always these days, the trouble is that Trump is so deep into dementia, it can be difficult to figure out if what he’s saying is even real, or if he’s just hallucinating or confused. For instance Trump could be confusing public polling with the internal polling that every campaign does for strategic guidance, and complaining about how much he has to pay for internal polling. But it sure sounds like he’s confessing to having paid for favorable public polling.
Given all the obviously partisan last minute polls that have been showing Trump ahead by laughable amounts and skewing the overall polling averages, is Trump admitting to having paid for those kinds of polls? I really don’t know. But… something’s going on here.
It’s all a good reminder that down the stretch, the polls become less reliable and should therefore be given a lot less attention. With ten days left, the people on TV talking obsessively about the polls aren’t being serious. These days the real indicators this close to an election are early voting numbers, turnout enthusiasm, and which side is putting in the most work on last minute phone banking and door knocking. Trump’s seeming confession that he’s paying for favorable polls is one more reason to turn off your TV and focus on getting more votes for Kamala Harris in these final days.
Once we finish winning this election, I’m going to find a way to build Palmer Report into the kind of juggernaut that can either scare the major media outlets into being more honest or just flat out put them out of business. I’m asking you to make one big final push right now so we can come out of this election ready to take over the political media scape. Help me fully fund this before election day so we can do this right: Palmer Report Fund
