Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell are now trying to finish each other off

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

There is, right now, a vivid war of words going on in the Grand old cult party. The words are spilling forth and dancing as two nemeses let the insults fly. This would be the war of words between Turtle McConnell and the Lord of the lies. McConnell came out against the insurrectionists the other day in stern turtle words. But now the Lord of the lies is responding — with typical fury and Trump madness.

Assolini is perturbed. After all, McConnell came out against Trump’s beloved insurrectionists. How DARE he! So Trump has just come out against McConnell with these words: “Mitch McConnell does not speak for the Republican party.”

Just take in those remarkable words. There is more from Trump but nothing that I will bother writing here because, after all, who really cares? What is fun is to watch the implosion of the very foundation of the RIP party. Savor this moment. The disarray, the chaos, the utter incompetence — of all of them — are now on full display.

The bell has been rung, and its tolling is loud. It is the sound of the destruction of the Republican Party. Once the bell has been rung, one cannot unring it. Its chiming is free to go on, possibly for eternity.

And it is only going to get worse for the GOP. These things always do. NOW, all members will have to pick a side — Mitch or the Donald? Pick your poison!

We are watching, in real-time, the fragmentation of a political party. And their fate is one they chose for themselves, although most lack the self-awareness to understand this. And there will be plenty more to come in that regard. So take a seat and let the show continue. The bell rings on.
