Democratic Congresswoman slams Kellyanne Conway and gives her a new nickname that’s likely to stick

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

As Donald Trump’s scandals continue to get worse this week, from his immigrant concentration camps, to his unconstitutional census move, to the arrest of his friend Jeffrey Epstein on underage sex trafficking charges, Trump has been in need of a distraction. To that end, he sent Kellyanne Conway to bat – and she quickly struck out.

Kellyanne Conway began pushing the exaggerated narrative that there’s a “catfight” going on between Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and some freshman House Democrats. In the process, Kellyanne falsely claimed that Congresswomen Ayanna Pressley, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib are “anti-humanitarian border aid.” This prompted Pressley to fire back in remarkable fashion.

Congresswoman Pressley posted this tweet address to Kellyanne Conway: “oh hi Distraction Becky. Remember that time your boss tore babies from their mothers’ arms and threw them in cages? Yeah take a seat and keep my name out of your lying mouth.” This prompted “Distraction Becky” to begin trending atop Twitter, and Pressley’s tweet promptly received more than ten thousand likes within the first hour.

Thus far Kellyanne Conway hasn’t even bothered to try firing back. We’re guessing that her new nickname “Distraction Becky” isn’t going away any time soon. Ayanna Pressley won the day, not only because of the nickname, but because in the process she was able to put the focus back on the horrors of Trump’s immigrant concentration camps.
