Did these dummies really think they’d get away with it?

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Did these right wing Supreme Court dummies think they’d get away with letting the Texas anti-abortion law go into effect because the media was obsessed with Afghanistan? Did they think no one would notice? If so, they miscalculated terribly. Women (and men) will rise up and destroy the Republicans in the midterms.

These dummies have also breathed life into a Supreme Court expansion movement that probably wouldn’t have otherwise happened. It won’t just be activists calling for expansion anymore. Everyone is going to be an activist now.

Now that they can see how badly this is backfiring, these right wing justices may try to mitigate the damage with a mixed ruling on the Texas law once they officially hear the case however many months from now, striking down part of it on some technicality. But it’s too late. They can’t unring this bell.

John Roberts knows it too, which is why he voted the other way. He’s probably yelling “I told you so” at the other four right now. This isn’t a game, but in the sense that someone will lose, it’s game on. We can, must, and will win the midterms.

Of course this is dependent on all of us ignoring any defeatists who might try to tell us that we’ve somehow already lost. Instead we have to put in the work required to win any election. We won in 2020. If we work hard again, we’ll win in 2022.
