Did Roger Stone just threaten to murder Robert Mueller?

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Last month InfoWars lunatic Alex Jones pantomimed shooting Special Counsel Robert Mueller. It was widely interpreted as a murder threat and/or a call to violence, and it resulted in Jones getting banned from a number of social networks. Now his close pal Roger Stone has made an Instagram post which, depending on how one might interpret it, could be seen as a death threat against Mueller as well.

Based on the publicly available details about grand jury proceedings over the past few weeks, it’s clear that Robert Mueller is closing in on indicting and arresting Roger Stone. Last year Stone was banned from Twitter for his targeted harassment of women. But Stone is still active on Instagram, and his posts there have become the most efficient way of tracking his increasingly extremist rhetoric as the walls close in on him. That brings us to his recent post involving himself, Robert Mueller, Jeff Sessions, and a gun.

Here’s the image that Roger Stone posted to Instagram a day ago:

There may be more than one way to interpret this image. Is Roger Stone imagining that he’s a law enforcement officer who’s placing Robert Mueller and Jeff Sessions under arrest? Or is he pointing that gun at the images of Mueller and Sessions? His caption simply says “Who ya gonna call? Crookbuster.” That doesn’t tell us much, as we don’t remember the Ghostbusters running around with guns drawn. Stone’s Instagram posts have become increasingly unhinged of late.

In various recent Instagram posts Roger Stone lashed out at Michael Cohen, Sam Nunberg, Corey Lewandowski, the FBI, Senator Ron Wyden, Carl Bernstein, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, and even Palmer Report. It’s ultimately up to Instagram to decide whether this kind of imagery is over the line. But considering that Mueller will soon be indicting and arresting Stone, it’s eyebrow raising to see Stone posting an image of himself pointing a gun in Mueller’s direction.
