Donald Trump may have infected the entire White House with coronavirus

Here’s what we know. About a week ago, someone – who has since tested positive for coronavirus – attended CPAC and interacted with Matt Schlapp at some point during the event. On the last day of the event, Schlapp shook hands with Donald Trump, according to WaPo. This means Schlapp has definitely been exposed to it, and Trump has potentially been exposed to it.

Being exposed to coronavirus doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve caught it. But Schlapp and Trump will both have to be tested, and will have to watch for symptoms. Moreover, if Trump has had the coronavirus for the past week, then he’s since spread it to the White House. Every White House employee he’s shaken hands with, coughed near, or touched the same surface as, is now potentially infected and must also be tested. Many of these employees are non-political, such as the janitors, and they bear no responsibility for Trump’s hideous political agenda. They’re just doing their jobs. This is particularly unfair to them.

If Donald Trump is infected, you can’t blame him for unknowingly having spread it to others for the past week. Nor can you blame Schlapp for having potentially spread it to Trump. But you can blame Trump for his awful, incompetent, dishonest, and deadly handling of the coronavirus crisis.

If Trump hadn’t cut the CDC budget to begin with, and if he hadn’t spent so much time trying to cover up the coronavirus threat instead of tackling it, he might not have to be sitting there right now, worried that he has coronavirus. Considering he’s elderly and he’s in visibly poor health, he’s in more danger from this virus than the average person would be.
