Did Donald Trump just admit he rigged the election for eight Republican Senators?

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Trump now claims he saved Mitch McConnell and seven other unnamed Republican Senators from losing in 2020. But his base turnout definitely didn’t put eight Republican Senators over the top. Not even close. His base doesn’t have that kind of juice; they couldn’t even turn out in sufficient numbers to save him. So what is Trump talking about? He seems on the verge of admitting he rigged the election for a bunch of Republicans.

The numbers suggest that Trump’s post office sabotage helped Republicans across the board, propelling several GOP Senators to unlikely wins, but Trump himself was so uniquely unpopular that his post office antics weren’t enough to save himself. Is this what he’s talking about?

No one should make accusations of a rigged election without evidence. But we know for a fact that Trump tried to rig the election by sabotaging the post office in order to make sure that democratic-heavy mail-in votes never arrived. Now Trump seems to be at least vaguely confessing to this, and confessing that it saved Republican Senators.

Graham, McConnell, Collins, Cornyn, and other Republican Senators all won by massively bigger margins than expected. The assumption at the time was that the polls were just insanely wrong. But what if Trump and DeJoy really did dump millions of democratic mail-in ballots in the proverbial river, and that’s why they did so much better than expected?

Trump is already enraged at the Republicans. That rage will only grow in the coming weeks, as Republicans continue to gradually admit that Trump lost the election. We’ll see if he begins admitting in more direct fashion that various Republican Senators only won because he illegally sabotaged the post office. It would be a crushing blow to their legitimacy.
