Diary of a maniac

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The thing about most maniacs is that they don’t KNOW they’re maniacs. Most maniacs think they’re just fine and dandy. Donald Trump is a maniac. Donald Trump thinks he’s just peachy — fine, dandy, and the smartest one in the room.

More like the stupidest. Trump’s addiction to doing stupid things is still ongoing, as the following will illustrate. Trump has had another meltdown, a great big, funky, all-encompassing mother lode of a meltdown — all because his darling daughter has to testify.

It was Saturday morning when Trump flipped his lid, declaring that he believes the Judge in his fraud case “is crazy.” That is yet another thing. Most maniacs think everyone ELSE is crazy — certainly not them. “Crazed in his hatred of me,” Trump declared on social media.

Trump appears unable to differentiate between personal animus and following the rule of law. Perhaps this is so difficult for him because he regularly violates the law. Still Trump’s tirade most definitely gives something away. Maniacs always give something away. If one follows their streams of consciousness, one can see diaries.

These, after all, are the most vital thoughts of the maniac in question. It’s what they think about — day in and day out. And what Trump’s diary of deranged thoughts gave away is that he’s scared. Oh I imagine he’s terrified. The harder Trump lashes out, the more scared he is. And this lash-out was a doozy.

Trump continued to unspool his thoughts about how great he is, how awful the Judge is, how the case is fake, and how the case against him (the Fraud case) must be dismissed. What a sad little man Trump is, yes? He’s SO SCARED. His fear literally leaps out. That is ALL this is about — fear.

Trump, like other maniacs before him, would likely walk through fire before admitting his fear. He wants to put out an image, a character. In Trump’s mind, this character is a novel being, with logic.

But he doesn’t know; He doesn’t know that virtually EVERYONE can tell how frightened, how insane he is. THAT is all that leaks out. And the reason Trump cannot see that he is, in fact, writing a DIARY of his fear for all the world to see, the REASON he doesn’t understand that with every outburst he makes more of a fool of himself, is because he is in fact a maniac.
