Devastating blow for Moms For Liberty

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Some further good news came out of the 2023 elections for Democrats when the vast majority of Moms for “Liberty” (MFL) school board candidates lost in school board elections across the country. All MFL candidates lost in Washington State and Minnesota. Only four MFL candidates out of nineteen won in New Jersey. Out of all the candidates the MFL endorsed in Iowa only one candidate one won. In Iowa’s Linn-Marr School District none of the MFL candidates won.

Iowa State University political science professor Dave Peterson said teachers felt they weren’t being supported, and dragging Iowa schools into culture wars, barring teaching students, and banning books wasn’t popular. Teacher unions stated that these MFL losses showed the MFL and the voters are nowhere near being close on positions.

This is good news but it should also serve as a reminder that we have to pay attention and vote in local races – even if they are supposedly non-partisan. And support Democrats at all levels. Whether they’re running for school board or President.
