Deranged Donald strikes again

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

“President” Donald Trump is not a racist, just ask his most loyal base. Nope, not a lick. Not at all. As Palmer Report reported earlier today, Trump went on a psychotic attack. Trump stated today when it came to those from the Bahamas:

“Everybody needs totally proper documentation. The Bahamas has some tremendous problems with people going to the Bahamas that weren’t supposed to be there. I don’t want to allow people that weren’t supposed to be in the Bahamas to come into the United States, including some very bad people and some very bad gang members and some very, very bad drug dealers.”

Sounds very much like his assessment of people from Mexico, who he has stated are: “Many Gang Members and some very bad people are mixed into the Caravan heading to our Southern Border. Please go back, you will not be admitted into the United States unless you go through the legal process. This is an invasion of our Country and our Military is waiting for you!”

That last tweet was from October 2018 and there have been many more statements to the same effect. This is the same man who insisted the Central Park Five were guilty. In June 2019 he stated: “Why do you bring that question up now? It’s an interesting time to bring it up. You have people on both sides of that. They admitted their guilt. If you look at Linda Fairstein and if you look at some of the prosecutors, they think the city should have never settled that case. So, we’ll leave it at that.”

On people coming to our country, we of course should be cautious and ensure that we are not admitting individuals who are a threat to our safety. At the same time, to resort to referring to anyone coming into this nation as bad people or “very, very bad” people is an affront to standards of decency, especially in the aftermath of a natural disaster that those seeking refuge have experienced.
