Defanging Donald Trump

“Take me in, oh tender woman.”

“Take me in, for heaven’s sake.”

“I saved you!”

“And you’ve bit me even, why?”

“Oh, shut up, silly woman.”

“You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in.”

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Ah, the snake. That little story that Donald Trump could not stop repeating during his candidacy. I’ve mentioned many times that I feel the snake was him. And that he was in his way, warning his followers who refused and still refuse to listen.

This country suffered a lot for the sins of the snake. We lost so much. Our future was too bleak for a long time, and so many people were hurt by him, poisoned in their way by the bite of the unyielding snake. And now he’s been defanged.

Actually, Trump was defanged when we won the presidential election. But so many — so, VERY many people have watched and waited for this moment — waited for the last of the snake’s poison to be sucked from him.

And now we have an indictment coming up in New York. This won’t be the last one. It will likely be the first of many. But this upcoming indictment does explain so much. It explains the increased thuggishness of Trump’s meltdowns. It explains the omnipresent rage surrounding his rants.

When Donald Trump is indicted, we will celebrate. W will celebrate because it’s what we’ve waited for. He has hurt this country, and though the country is in recovery, people want payback. The man has, for all his life, gotten away with so much. One could argue he’s gotten away with murder. But no more.

So now the snake, coiled and hissing, will be indicted — and there is not one damn thing he can do about it. Nothing. Nothing at all. It is shocking, still looking back on it all, that one troubled man could cause so much mayhem. One man, a million problem. Sometimes, still, it doesn’t seem real.

But it is. And this indictment which could literally happen at any second is a result of copious work by people who recognized the snake for the treacherous thing that he is and sought to counter him — and punish him. This is but the first one, the first step in the long journey of lady justice and the beginning of the defanging of the bloodthirsty and remorseless snake.
